The latest craze of Blackberry Messenger is infecting the thousands of Curves, Bolds and Pearls etc everywhere faster than you can say PING! What a fun and free way to keep in touch with your friends, family and even complete strangers, wherever you are. Complete with emoticons, you can even send music files, photos and voice notes to enhance your pleasurable experience.
However, something much more sinister seems to be arising from this supposed harmless software. A number of "Broadcasts" are apparently coming from the proprietors of Blackberry. RIM or Research In Motion are said to be sending out a Broadcast to their "active users" telling them to forward on a particular message to all of their contacts and if they do not, they will inevitably lose all of their contacts and their details. It also gives you a website to visit for more information - www.blackberry.com/inactiveusers'
What a load of old tripe!!!
If there were any issues or technical problems with any Blackberry software, the service providers who are paid monthly or "as you go" would ensure their customers would be kept up to date with any malfunctions hindering their use of their handheld. Even if you visit the site which you should know is rubbish after spotting the apostrophe after the s (see above) it will tell you PAGE NOT FOUND!!
This is just another pathetic case of attention seeking OR a subtle way to find out who has deleted you from their contact lists. If someone has erased you from their BB contacts list it will never show on your contact list. As far as you're concerned they will still be sitting snugly in-between your other contacts but unbeknownst to you, they have quite rightly had enough of your moronic, endless and repetitive BC's and promptly removed you.
So just some friendly words of advice- Refrain from forwarding these messages on as they do nothing to promote your levels of intelligence or popularity.
